The exhibition “Portinari Raros” by Candido Portinari opens a new gallery at CCBB Brasília

The exhibition “Portinari Raros” by Candido Portinari inaugurates a new CCBB Brasília gallery, with the works of one of the most famous Brazilian artists of all time.

The exhibition is curated by Marcello Dantas, bringing together around 200 of the artist’s works, in physical and digital format, some of which have been little seen or never before exhibited to the public.

The public can also check out the presentation “Portinari Imenso” that occupies the Glass Pavilion, offering an immersive experience through the projected paintings, accompanied by an original soundtrack by Cacá Machado and developed through four thematic modules from the artist’s aesthetic universe: Brazil, War and Peace, Childhood and Sacred Art.
