In the exhibition “Recurrencias”, at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the artist León Ferrari is honored as “one of the most important Argentinian artists in history”, according to curator Andrés Duprat.
Together with Cecilia Rabossi, the curators bring together around 250 works from the museum’s collection, including the sound sculpture “Berimbau”, exhibited outdoors in the museum gardens.
In June, the work was the scene of a performance in which the responsible artists state that “we invoke the poetic syncretism between body, object, image and sound.
“Recurrences” can be visited until August 13, 2023 at the Museum’s Temporary Exhibition Pavilion, from Tuesday to Friday, from 11:00 to 20:00, and on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10:00 to 20:00, with free admission.
