30/04/2016 - 31/05/2016
An artist from various paths that meet, through displacements and overlaps, colors and lights in geometric abstraction, the Frenchman François Morellet (1926), one of the greatest names in world art in the 20th century, receives, in São Paulo, his first solo exhibition in the Brazil, at Dan Galeria. François Morellet – The Rule of the Game brings together, from April 30, when the 90th anniversary of its birth, 16 works by the artist, created between the late 1960s and the beginning of the 1970s.
The show is part of a collective of three exhibitions to be held in São Paulo, at Dan Galeria, and in London, at the Mayor galleries – where 30 works by the artist from the same series presented in Brazil were exhibited – and at the David Juda gallery.
The works exhibited at Dan Galeria and Galeria Mayor comprise the book A Regra do Jogo, to be released in a bilingual edition (English and Portuguese). In Brazil, the launch took place on April 30, celebrating the opening of the exhibition and the artist’s 90th birthday.
